The
“stimulus” plan has passed, and it includes a healthy $20 Billion
in HIT spending that will largely be funneled through CMS to provide
incentives for early Electronic Medical Records conversion.
The new law calls for the entire Healthcare Industry to convert to
Electronic Medical Records by 2014, with financial incentives for
early adopters.
Beginning in
2011, Physicians will receive $44,000.00 to $64,000.00 over five
years for implementing and using a certified Electronic Medical
Records System, while Medical practices that don’t convert to EMR by
2014 will begin to lose a percentage of their Medicare funding.
Net Surgeons
has already begun converting medical practices to a certified
Electronic Medical Records System. Let us show you how converting to
a certified Electronic Medical Records System will not only bring
your office into government compliance, but in conjunction with
guidance from our partner,
Healthcare
Management Alliance, L.L.C., can also increase general
office efficiency, following “lean” strategies, which will lead to
higher profits. In addition, a compliant EMR system, together with
a more efficient office environment, provides for a `healthier’
working environment, where staff turn-over is significantly reduced.
